Impact of exposure spatial resolution on seismic loss estimates in regional portfolios

The spatial resolution of exposure data has a substantial impact on the accuracy and reliability seismic risk estimates. While several studies have investigated influence geographical detail urban in earthquake loss models, there is also need to understand its implications at regional scale. This study investigates effects European model resulting estimates by simulating dozens site models (630 models) representing wide range assumptions related geo-resolution exposed asset locations associated conditions.
